Welcome to my first development update post about REA, my main game Project.
Here you will find some bits of what is planned for the upcoming game I’m working on. There is really a lot to talk about & share but as per usual as it should be, I will try my best to not spoil the fun part of the game. So I will share only a bit of a story you should know about & skip anything that happens later in the game. I can talk about the main mechanics when it comes to game play & few key characters that will be very important actors for the player & story.
As it’s our first post about REA in the first place… How about this?
Let’s start from the basics, What exactly is REA?
REA, Also know as “Retry Eternal Angel” a very original hybrid of genres as the game will contain terrifying themes so it could be seen as a Horror at times, Strategic elements with consequences, Team battler with cards and so on the list goes on and on.
REA takes place in a dark post apocalyptic dying husk of a world deep underground in abandoned facility corridors, Where you (Player) in all of this madness were trapped in a twisted game made by RE… Who is RE?
Re is self claimed master of you (player) who tasks you with many random fetch quests that you have to accomplish in time as he expects you to! Seems that RE is in full power over you and could delete you anytime.
Well, Re and the dying world is not everything and it’s least of your worries yet. Among you and Re there is 12 other Clans & Fractions full of members, heroes & key characters who will fight against you or with you on your side depending on your standing with them.
If you love games with a lot of hidden features details and secret interactions, Bingo! You will also love to play REA!
Key aspects of the game are:
- Single Player Campaign with rich story.
REA is built with first and major intent, To tell a deep and meaningful original story never seen before with many iconic characters of Satelix. - Team Battler with cards.
Explore many team combinations with many learnable cards that are hidden all around the game. Make your dream team and fight. - Strategy & Management, Your team without correct management beforehand will certainly fail in battle. Collect resources manage your base of operations and manufacture units that will support your team.
- Horrors & Psychology.
REA isn’t just a game but a deep story that will touch your heart. This game isn’t meant for the ones weak of heart. Often elements that player would suspect to be friendly or familiar and safe will slowly or suddenly turn out to be something completely else. REA will catch you off guard & try it’s best to brake a certain wall in between you and the game. - Dynamic relations with Clans & Standing system.
REA takes place in a living dark post apocalyptic dying husk of a world. Even if mostly everyone died there are still plenty of survivors who fight for another day even if it’s pointless effort. Death may seem as a good exit option to few while some will still deny it no matter what. You are expected to build and form alliances in order to make your objective much more easily accessible. Although you are free to play it your way, REA is meant and designed to be played in a original way as it won’t be teaching you a thing nor forcing you to play a specific way. Feel free to explore the difficult boundary of playing alone with no allies. - Very hard difficulty for real devoted players.
REA is in design supposed to be a very difficult game, Not just an ordinary hard mode but a real challenge that will give you a solid beating where you need to return many many times before you start to understand and learn how to survive. You will of course have an option to play a difficulty that will be tailored for more casual play trough. On top of that a special difficulty for true masochistic & degenerates who never had enough of pain in their life’s. True master difficulty under a name “DeathWish++” where every single gimmick and enemy you may already know gets altered & cranked up to another absolute level…
Dare to challenge this difficulty and it will defeat you.

Each REA post will include few elements that will appear always, Such as stage of the development below you will find an example of it.
Development Stage: Soft Development
I’m intending to have only 6 stages no more, The following 6 stages are:
Stage 0 – A little wish of mine.
Stage 1 – Soft Development.
Stage 2 – Active Development.
Stage 3 – Soft Testing.
Stage 4 – Active Testing.
Stage 5 – Polishing & fixing.
Stage 6.1 – Ready for Release.
Stage 6.2 – Released!
